AS2 Series V/F Inverter 0.4-7.5 kW for Single and Three Phase Motors
Panel-mount V/F inverter for 0.4-7.5 kW motors on 220 V single phase or 380 V three phase: 0.1-400 Hz, built-in PID and PLC, natural convection cooling.
AS2 Series is the compact V/F drive we supply when a machine needs variable speed but not vector control. It covers 0.4 to 7.5 kW on single-phase 220 V and three-phase 380 V supplies, in a panel-mount housing with natural convection cooling and a keypad an operator can learn in ten minutes.
Typical buyers are panel builders fitting out a machine, OEMs who want the drive pre-configured for their equipment, and maintenance teams replacing a contactor starter or a valve-throttled pump. Power lands on L1/L2 or L1/L2/L3, the motor goes to U/V/W, and two-wire start-stop uses FWD, REV and COM. No cooling fan means nothing to clog in a dusty workshop and nothing to replace at year three.
Key features
- 0.1–400 Hz output — covers standard 50 Hz and 60 Hz motors, plus higher-speed spindle and blower duties up to 400 Hz.
- V/F control with three curve types — linear, multi-point and square V/F curves, so you can match torque to a constant-torque conveyor or a variable-torque fan and pump.
- 150% starting torque — enough breakaway torque for loaded conveyors and positive-displacement pumps without going to a vector drive.
- 150% overload for 60 s (G type) — sized for general industrial duty; 130% for 60 s on P type (fan and pump) ratings.
- Built-in PLC, eight speeds — sequence up to eight preset speeds from the keypad or DI terminal combinations, no external PLC needed for simple multi-step processes.
- Built-in PID and AVR — closed-loop process control for pressure, flow or temperature, and automatic voltage regulation that holds output steady when the mains sags.
- Over-current stall control — limits current during acceleration instead of tripping, which matters on loads that start heavy.
- 4-digit LED keypad with potentiometer — digital frequency setting to 0.01 Hz, plus a knob for operators who want to turn a dial rather than press keys.
- Natural convection cooling, panel mount — no cooling fan, no filter to service, vertical aluminium fins sized for continuous operation.
- Multiple protection modes — over-current, over-voltage, under-voltage, overheat, phase loss and short circuit, with fault codes on the display.

Models and power range
Two supply versions, one control platform. Single-phase 220 V covers small machines and workshop equipment; three-phase 380 V covers the same duties at higher power.

| AS2-4T0075 | 7.5 | 3 phase 380 V | 0.1–400 Hz |
Rated output current for each rating is stated on the nameplate and in the datasheet — ask us for the model you need and we will confirm the exact current against your motor.

Where the AS2 is the right drive
V/F control is not a compromise on the loads it was designed for. It is the correct choice when the motor runs at a steady speed most of the time, when the load does not need torque at zero speed, and when the person setting it up wants to be done in an afternoon rather than a week.
- Conveyors — set the belt speed once, adjust it with the knob when the product changes. V/F handles the starting torque on a loaded belt.
- Water pumps — replace valve throttling with speed control. Built-in PID holds a pressure setpoint without an external controller.
- Fans and blowers — square V/F curve matches the variable-torque characteristic, and 400 Hz upper range covers high-speed blower duties.
- Processing equipment — mixers, small extruders, packaging lines, where eight preset speeds cover the whole recipe.

Installation notes
The AS2 is convection cooled and panel mounted, so leave clearance above and below the heatsink for air to move. Mount it vertically — the fins are designed for upward airflow. Keep motor cables as short as the layout allows; where a long run is unavoidable, an output reactor protects both the drive and the motor insulation. Control wiring should be screened and routed away from the motor cables.

Questions buyers ask before ordering
Is it vector or V/F? V/F. If your duty needs full torque at zero speed, or torque control, you need a vector drive — we make those too and will tell you honestly which one fits.
Can it run a 60 Hz motor? Yes. Output goes to 400 Hz, so 60 Hz motors run at rated speed and you can over-speed within the motor’s limits.
Single-phase input, three-phase motor? Yes, on the 2S models — single-phase 220 V in, three-phase 220 V motor out.
What is the enclosure rating? IP20 as standard, which suits a cabinet or a clean panel. For dusty or wet locations the drive belongs inside a proper enclosure, not out in the open.
Can you supply OEM branding and a custom parameter set? Yes. Tell us the motor nameplate and the duty, and the drive can ship with parameters pre-set for your machine.
